Dependant on the nature of the application and the solution provided, in some cases it is necessary to perform a small routine maintenance procedure 2-3 times per year. Typical examples include checking the slip setting of a torque-limiter, the air-gap of a brake-motor/clutch-brake-unit or the setting position of the flag and switch set used to detect the cam dwell period. In some circumstances, generally for those machines that are either old or have high cycling rates, it will be necessary to renew a mechanism by replacing cam-followers, seals, bearings and lubrication.
